Change Is Up To You

Your perceptions are the driving force of your life. If you perceive things to be difficult and defeating, then you will surely struggle, because you’ve created a negative expectation that will filter?out any positive opportunities. And if you perceive things to be working out perfectly and just the way you intended, you will find that you have more than enough energy to stay the course while enjoying the ride, because your positive expectation will filter out the negative stumbling clocks. There might be challenges, but you will overcome them, because you believe you can.

he trouble with living your life with limited beliefs is that we put ourselves in a very small box. The problem with the small box is that we don’t seem to realize that there is also pain involved in squeezing ourselves into this small box and our spirits get bruised. Our internal dialogue with ourselves seems to be negative “I’m not good enough” “what’s wrong with me?” “I’m too fat” and all these messages drastically affect our lives.

Happy Holiday

How can people in our society sit back and watch people die everyday because they don’t have health care. On this holiday I ask “how can we be that selfish and self-centered?”

This morning on the Today Show they had a Doctor that quit her private and opened a clinic to help people without insurance. I was moved by her generosity.

In March of 2003 I was diagnosed with advanced stage glaucoma and lost sight in my right eye and partial sight in my left eye. I needed four surgeries and time to readjust to a life without sight. I felt powerless because I was financially dependent on my family. There is a big price to pay when you allow others to support you. I lost my identity, my purpose and most of all the choice to be authentic.
